 Ami

Ami loved growing up in a small town about 50 miles east of Dallas, but she always knew that she wanted to experience life in the big city. Her small town work ethic certainly paid off. After training at Toni and Guy, Ami immediately began working in a hot salon right in the heart of Dallas.

Client friends from back home made the drive to support Ami & provided her with countless referrals. As demand for her hair styling grew, Ami realized she she needed to focus on improving her business skills so she could build on her success. She would work with clients all day & then throw herself into researching fashion trends & hair techniques every night. Ami’s insatiable appetite for knowledge helped her to move beyond the curve in terms of color & style for her clients. By 2014, Ami was fully booked & could no longer accept new clients. Realizing it was time to expand, she took a leap of faith & set down her roots in downtown Rockwall, which was how Ami Kristin Studio was born. Making beautiful hair is the core of Ami’s vision. She wants to give clients more than a haircut, providing a fun experience that they truly look forward to.

Every hour is HAPPY HOUR, Ami believes her experience is based around hair, soul and art. Her passion is beautiful, lived-in hair that best suites her individuals lifestyle.
The AK MOTTO: High maintenance look with a low maintenance upkeep. Blondes built her business, but her other niche is an expensive brunette and Handtied extensions. Her love for hair has only grown stronger all while falling in love with the business side of things.

You will catch Ami behind the chair, running the business, coaching + hyping her team or spending her days off with her Frenchie. She loves meeting new people and has a heart for supporting other boss babes. Everyone that walks through AKS is family.

Ali

Ali is from Midland, Texas. She’s been an artist for 9 years with 6 of those being part of the AKS team. Ali grew up in the salon where her mom was a stylist. She was quickly inspired at a young age when she saw her mom’s passion & love for making people feel beautiful & giving them the self confidence they never had. She’s a sucker for a platinum blonde, but is well rounded in the industry.

Ashley

Ashley was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. With cosmetologists on both sides of her family, hairdressing is in her blood. She is passionately creative & loves all forms of art. She moved from California 10 years ago after falling in love & marrying a Texan. Their family has grown to include three beautiful girls. After 9 years as a colorist & color educator at Frederic Fekkai in Dallas, she is bringing her career to the place that she calls home.

Jade has a true passion for making people feel beautiful and she takes pride in building relationships with everyone that sits in her chair. She has been a stylist for ten years now. She and her husband moved from Minnesota to the great state of Texas seven years ago and has built an amazing life with their two beautiful daughters. If Jade is not behind the chair you will find her with her family camping and adventuring outdoors. Jade loves all kind of hair, but her favorite is creating lived-in color, whether it is blonde or brunette. There truly is no mane she doesn’t love. She is trained in curly hair cutting techniques for the ladies that love to embrace their natural hair. Book your look with Jade, she cannot wait to meet you and start your hair journey together.

Kaylee

Kaylee is your custom, creative stylist for all things hair artistry. She attended The Aveda Institute Dallas on a full ride scholarship after placing 1st in the 2014 Catwalk For Water and has been helping babes meet their full potential for eight years. Kaylee’s love language includes creating, relationships and stand out hair. Connecting with her clients on a SIS level is what she strives for each appointment. She absolutely loves all the gal pals and HAIR MAGIC that AKS has brought into her life. Her AKS girl squad + trusting clients + endless opportunities bring her so much joy daily and truly have shown her WHY!! Kaylee is constantly grateful and feels blessed to be able to create beautiful things with beautiful people as a career. Her goal is to continue laughing, learning, growing and thriving through this beautiful life.

Hey y’all! I’m Emma! I’m a born and raised East Texas girl at heart but I do love me some city life! I spend most of my time outside of work with my puppy who is pretty much my child. Hair is my biggest passion and my love continuously grows for it every single day because of you beautiful people! I studied at Aveda institute in Dallas and then shortly made my way to the best salon ever, AKS! Brunettes have the key  to my heart, but I specialize in blondes, brondes, brunettes, and our extension babes. I would absolutely love to get a chance to have you in my chair!
